How material is released

Four steps, and nothing skipped when we are busy

Release is a sequence. Each step gates the next, and material that fails one does not proceed to the following one.

  1. Receive

    Incoming material is quarantined and reconciled against its manufacturing record before anything else happens.

  2. Assay

    Purity by gradient RP-HPLC at 214 nm, identity by ESI-MS against theoretical mass, water by Karl Fischer.

  3. Release

    Results are checked against the written specification for that compound. Anything outside it is rejected, not downgraded.

  4. Document

    The certificate is issued against the batch code printed on the vial, and published to the batch lookup.
