Is the certificate batch-specific?

Why it matters

A document with no batch code and no analysis date is a specification sheet — a statement of what the compound should meet, written before the material existed. It certifies nothing about your vial.

How Ryzen answers it

Every certificate carries the batch code printed on the vial and the date the analysis was run. All of them are published, so you can read current stock before ordering.

Is the HPLC method stated, with the wavelength?

Why it matters

A purity figure without a method cannot be interpreted. A steep gradient merges impurities into the main peak; detection at 280 nm misses any species without aromatic residues.

Is identity confirmed separately from purity?

Why it matters

Chromatography establishes that a sample is homogeneous. It does not establish that the homogeneous thing is the compound you ordered. Only mass spectrometry does that.

Is water content measured?

Why it matters

Lyophilised peptides are hygroscopic. Residual water changes both stability and the concentration you calculate from vial weight, and it is invisible to a chromatographic purity figure.

Which counter-ion, and how much?

Why it matters

Trifluoroacetate is cytotoxic at concentrations that occur in ordinary cell culture. If your work involves living cells, this is a variable you have to control for.

Does material outside specification get sold anyway?

Why it matters

Some suppliers downgrade rather than reject. A 96% batch relabelled as a lower grade is still a batch that failed its specification.

Supplying research peptides in the UK

The UK research peptide market has a documentation problem rather than a supply problem. Material is widely available; evidence about that material is not. A great many sites publish a purity percentage with no method, no batch reference, and no way for a buyer to connect the figure to the vial that arrives.

What we control, and what we do not

We do not run a synthesis facility, and we say so plainly because it affects how you should read everything else. Peptide synthesis at research scale is a specialist operation and we buy from facilities that do it properly. What we own is the release decision: incoming material is quarantined, reconciled against its manufacturing record, assayed independently, and either released against our specification or rejected.

That distinction matters because the release step is where a supply chain either has integrity or does not. A supplier who simply passes through whatever arrives, with whatever paperwork came attached, is a logistics business describing itself as a laboratory one.

Stock figures on product pages are live rather than aspirational, so a line showing available is on the shelf rather than on order. Peptides ship lyophilised and sealed with the handling notes for that compound where it needs them.

Beyond the catalogue

Lines that are not stocked can usually be sourced. Send the sequence or CAS number with the quantity you need and we will quote with a lead time; custom material is released to the same specification and documented the same way. Can I get a compound that is not in the catalogue?
Often, yes. Tell us the sequence or the CAS number and the quantity, and we will quote with a lead time. Custom lines are released to the same specification and carry the same certificate as catalogue stock.
What if a batch is not right?
Quote the batch code and tell us what you observed. If material does not match its certificate we replace it and investigate the batch. We would rather hear about it than have you work around it.
