What we do not collect
We do not collect or store card or bank details. Payment is arranged by proforma invoice outside this website, so no payment credential is entered here at any point. We do not use behavioural advertising, we do not build profiles for marketing, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an order: 12 months.
- Order records: 7 years, as required for UK accounting and tax.
- Trade account records: for the life of the account, then 7 years.
- Release-note subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
Only where necessary to do what you asked. Delivery details go to the courier carrying your consignment. Order and invoice records go to our accountants and, where required, to HMRC. Website and database hosting is provided by Google Cloud through Firebase, which processes data on our instruction. We do not transfer personal data outside the UK or EEA except as part of that hosting, which operates under the provider's standard safeguards.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased where we have no continuing basis to keep it, to restrict or object to processing, and to receive your data in a portable form. Ask us and we will action it within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We update this policy when what we do changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
This is a working draft. It describes accurately how the site and the business operate, but it has not been reviewed by a solicitor and is not legal advice. Have it reviewed before relying on it commercially.
