Overview
Sermorelin is the first 29 residues of human GHRH — the shortest fragment retaining full receptor activity — with a C-terminal amide. It is the unmodified reference against which every stabilised GHRH analogue is compared, which is its principal value in research.
Because it carries no substitutions, it is cleaved rapidly by DPP-4 at the position 2 alanine. That short duration is a limitation in most applications and precisely the point in others: comparing sermorelin against D-Ala2-substituted analogues is how the contribution of DPP-4 resistance is quantified.

Handling
Reconstitute with sterile or bacteriostatic water added slowly against the inner wall of the vial. Allow the cake to dissolve without agitation, swirling gently if required. Do not vortex or shake.
Lyophilised at −20 °C, desiccated and protected from light, stable for at least 24 months. Reconstituted and held at 2–8 °C, use within 28 days. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw.
